Band Biography
Ring of Kerry is at times a raucous pub band enticing its crowd to sing along, stomp their feet and to join in the merriment. Yet in other moments, they are beautifully serenading their audience while strolling from table to table; completely unplugged and playing acoustically. Ring of Kerry’s specialty, however, is playing highly energetic and engaging stage concerts often including a troupe of fully costumed Irish step dancers.
Each band member brings their own musical influences and expertise to the group and takes an active roll in creating the Ring of Kerry sound. They all sing, play several instruments and revel in the spirit of Celtic music.
Ring of Kerry is a unique blend of Paul Finegan Cotton's thundering, yet at times delicate bodhran playing ... Paul Blondell's lilting good-natured fiddle and mandolin ... Charlie Roth's sizzling guitar and songwriting ... Paul Imholte's weaving and bright hammered dulcimer and mandolin ... and Emma Andreasen's beautiful vocals and haunting flute and pennywhistle.
